the rat needs more money. it isn't bringing in enough from the properties it licensed, so as of august 31, 2008 disney will let its licence with slave labor graphics expire. so what does this mean? no more gargs comics. even though it was the MOST POPULAR SERIES FROM SLG, DISNEY IS PULLING THE PLUG. get 'em while you can, it may be a while before we get them back. http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/search.php?rid=787 |

+**@ Disney in hell forever. Gargoyles is the only Disney produced thing I ever really liked, but the consistantly treat it like #%@$, all while churning out
the usual unwatchable pap year after year.
Gargoyles is too good for disney, Too edgy, too subtle, too complex for them to handle. Weisman says they will never give up the rights to Gargs, but when they treat it so badly it's obvious we the fans will never get what we want, which is just to see where Greg Weisman takes the story. How the hell can we ever liberate Gargoyles from the short sighted, profit obsessed corporate scum-fucks of Disney?
I still recall the effort to forget.

i think that this is like some professional sports teams trading for players they don't need. they do it to make sure someone else doesn't get them and take off. i can imagine some other comic company (independant or major) doing some very good things with the franchise and i believe disney knows that. edit: here's an update from greg:
